BIO
Majored in Psychology at Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a BA in 2008.
During her time at EIU, she interned at an alternative school for adolescents in Lerna, IL
where she worked with the anger management class teaching techniques to control anger and coping skills.
She volunteers at Soup Stop in Charleston where lunch is provided to anyone that shows up to eat.
During that time, she meets people from the community and helps them find resources that they need to live and provide
for their needs.
Currently, she is married and recently gave birth to their first child.
PROJECTS
She works with the Comprehensive Community-Based Youth Services
program. Provides counseling to youth ages 11-17 and their families working to divert the youth from child welfare and juvenile justice
systems through the provision of family preservation, family reunification, and independent living services.
These clients are obtained from a 24/7 crisis line that she also works.
She also holds a Lifeskills group at=2 0Lerna Bridges once a week teaching different lessons for ages 11-17.
