ICCS Community Organizer, Dan SochaDan Socha, Community Organizer

Dan is a community organizer from East Providence, Rhode Island. He earned his B.A. in History from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts in May of 2006. Dan then served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia in West Africa from 2006-2008. Upon completion of his Peace Corps service, Dan was accepted into the Peace Corps Fellows Program in Rural Community Development, where he earned an M.A. in Political Science from Western Illinois University. For the first year of the program, he worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs and then interned with the Rural Community Assistance Program during his second year.

Dan has worked throughout Illinois and his experiences have impacted his commitments to rural community development.
